So, one of the first things I found to laugh about yesterday was… me!
We had come back from taking a huge load of garbage to the dump (I’m so glad that’s finally done) and I was just getting out of the van when I heard our phone ringing. I don’t usually run for the phone (what could be so important that I have to make myself out of breath?) but this time I ran. I got into the house, tripping over some shoes on the way, and reached the phone just in time. “Hallo!?” Nothin’. All I hear is some rustling around. “Helllooooo!!” Rustle rustle. Some silly noo noo’s cell phone just called me, I was thinking. I hung up, and thought to check the caller ID. I was expecting to see Adrian’s or my friend L’s cell number. I was intending on calling them back to give them a hard time. Imagine my chagrin when I saw MY cell number appear on the screen. I reached into my pocket and sure enough my cell phone’s screen cheerfully displayed “Call Ended”. Well, I just had ta laugh at that.

So that's how cell-phone companies make huge profits!!
They get one's cell-phone to ring out other numbers!!
Where's that hammer - not where is the cell-phone hiding!!
Luv the posting - I had to laugh.
That is too funny!!! A few times I have come home to find a recording on our answering machine of me and the kids talking as we are driving to town...one time we were in the drive thru ordering stuff...we are hilarious enough at the drive thru but to hear everyone in our truck saying,"No pickles...no mustard...mom I want cheese..I want the girl toy not the boy toy...I don't want a toy I'm too big...Why can't we go in and eat today??? And me saying,"Shhh...you guys just tell me what you want!"
I call myself all the time or the hubby and we get to hear each others converstations like Heather is talking about. It can be pretty funny. Also I have done what you said running through the house tripping over things only to see my own number on the caller id....yes you have to laugh..
LOL good one! I'm reading Heather's comment and have to laugh at the few times the T's head to a drive-thru. Sometimes the people on those intercoms get a real kick out of hearing the goings-on in the vehicles and in ours it's usually the same as Heather's except add in Gregg saying "I am not going to sit here all day so hurry up already, I feel like an ass." to which I reply some smart alec comment and by the time we get up to the window the people inside are laughing.
But back to the cell phone :o) I have come home to find messages of my husband. His job has him on the phone all the time. One cell phone, one truck phone, the office phones and the fun begins if he thinks he's hung up with the answering machine and continues to talk on a different phone. Funny! And I tell him he's lucky I haven't heard anything bad yet like "Man that wife of mine sure drives me crazy" LOL
I've called myself once. Got the answering machine. I didn't leave a message but I was sure wondering why I did that when I was calling someone else. Oldtimers disease was in full gear.
