A lot of math

We did quite a bit of math today. May-be too much. Ds started to complain about boredom. In retrospect some of the book work could have been done as an activity. He was learning about ordinal numbers. There was a picture of a train with a bunch of cars and then a series of instructions. Colour the third car blue, colour the twelfth car yellow, and so on. We could have done that activity outside with rocks or leaves or something. Find me the fifth rock, etc. Ah well. I'm going to keep that in mind when planning further lessons.
