*Update* - In the comments section, Peter wrote a lovely poem to go with this photo. I wanted to share it with those of you who might not always read the comments.
Thanks, Peter! I'm just not sure of the "Oh, no not again" line. ;) What are you trying to saying there??
And now Blogger won't let me keep the spaces in the poem. :(
~ We Sit Alone ~
We sit alone
Just you and I
Alone with our thoughts
Alone with our dreams.
Looking out across the lake
What mysteries lie within?
Deep and blue
What lurks so within?
We sit alone
Just you and I
But Mum is not far behind
Camera at the ready
What will she find?
Perhaps a picture of the lake?
"Oh, no not again".

Nice sepia shot.
Was that done on the camera or using software?
Wow that is an awesome one. I'd frame it!
Without doubt - a great photo
It´s a great picture again!
I love that shot. I like that you did it in sepia,
Thanks, Guys. Sirdar - yes it was done on the camera. :)
Debbie, I was just so captivated by this beautiful photo - that I had to put pen to paper and here is just a short poem of what I see:

** What do you think? **
What a beautiful shot. That one's a prize winner for sure. And lovely poem too.
Thank you so much Debbie, and so pleased you enjoyed the poem.
As to the ending - sorry, I just could not resist!!!
One's cruel sense of humour comes into play...
Thank-you, Carla.
Peter - You're welcome. Inspiration often comes to me, but words often fail me. You have a great talent. :)
Somehow I missed this post? But when you updated it to show Peter's poem Blogarithm picked it up. And I'm glad it did. Gorgeous shot Debbie and sepia is always so nice. I'd be framing it and putting the poem beside it so in a hundred years when I'm all old and everything, I can bring it out and tell the grandkids about the days of blogging and how some nice blogger friend wrote you a poem. I know. I'm a mush. Don't tell anyone!
Joy - That's a wonderful idea. I will do that. :) I think most people know that deep down you're a mush anyway.
I am happy with the photo. I took a couple of others where I zoomed in tighter and you couldn't see the side boards. I need to learn more about composition. :0) Also, a funny note: The kids look sweet and tranquil but they were actually arguing in that picture! Over a blade of grass! Ah well. That's what's nice about photography over video, I guess.
