Their fleece as white as snow...
I went out to my friend, M's, acreage yesterday while the kids were at their home-school program. She has such a lovely place. She has a real talent for landscaping and decorating in general. Honestly, I'm a little envious because I'm not good in that department even a little bit. I keep our place mowed (which I actually enjoy doing) and Adrian plants a vegetable garden. And that's it. Last year I got two hanging baskets which I managed not to kill so I'll get them again this year. If we were rich I'd just hire someone to come and landscape our place. I don't want anything fancy. As much as I enjoy being outside, my thing is to cosy up on the hammock and read. Not spend hours in flower gardens. But I would like some low maintenance stuff. Like tulips. But I always have the dilemma of not knowing where to put them.
What's up with the sheep? Well, M's neighbours have sheep and I couldn't resist snapping some pictures of the babies. They-were-so-cute!!

I have never counted how many are up on the hills here - I would be fast asleep if I tried!!!
The sheep are adorable...
Landscaping is a lot of work...start small...basically just ask questions when getting plants and flowers for knowing where to put them. You should think of perennials or buy some wildflower mix and sprinkle it over an area. You have to water it but that is pretty much it! We don't even have a lawn so we have a ton to do...Just a lawn would be right now would be lovely!!! For easy flower baskets I usually grow but this year I bought trays of marigolds, lobelia and wave petunias. I make marigold/lobelia planters and marigold/petunia hanging baskets or planters. They are really easy to do...and not much work besides watering...
I look at this picture and I'm so glad I chose NOT to have the lamb for Mother's Day supper! Too cute. You'll have to take a long ride out to Fort Saskatchewan. The sheep the City use to keep the grass down are a huge hit every year. Or they used to be. I'm not even sure if they have them anymore. Better stick with your friend's neighbour.
I don't have the patience for maintaning a garden. I love looking at them I just don't want to do the work.
The sheep are cute I'd have taken their picture too.
Landscaping is a lot of work. I know we've cleared quite a bit of the trees away and took down 4 of the gardens to the ground. I see this spring I didn't do that great a job. I would like to be rich enough to hire someone to do it too. I think #9 used to be landscapers. Maybe we should sweet talk them :-)
I thought of getting sheep or goats for the hill. Might still do it.
