Medieval Camp

The kids went to a Medieval day camp on Wednesday. It's put on by a homeschooling mom who created a business called Educational Adventures. She does a variety of workshops for both children and homeschooling parents. We've done several of them in the past. The kids come away with sooo many things that they've made from every camp they've attended.

She's a homeschooler that I aspire to. She's energetic and creative. She's not an Unschooler but she rarely uses work books, etc. either. She makes games and invents creative and original ideas to teach concepts. She believes in making education an adventure. She's an awesome person to talk to about homeschooling, and I'm grateful that I can call her a friend.

Ds getting knighted.

In the backgorund you can see the swords and shield the boys made.

How wonderful to see all the children enjoy the Medieval event, dressing up and taking part.

Helps to nuture the imagination of children as well as educational too.

Thank you for your very kind thoughts and prayers for Madeleine and her family at this time.

Looks like fun. Hope they learnt lots too about the Medieval Times. I think we are only going to one camp this year. A geology camp at Frank Slide. They usually go to a few but this year...only the one.
