Her 7th Birthday Party

Adrian's test he was supposed to take was cancelled this weekend so we decided to give Dd's birthday party yesterday rather than at the end of the month. It was at the last minute, and I'm grateful that pretty much everyone was able to come. We still did the carnival theme, but on a scaled down version. And unfortunatly because I was involved with the activities I didn't get around to taking many pictures.

My planning was also usurped by my back. I pulled it on Friday, and spent much of the day in pain. Saturday wasn't much better until after I went to the chiropractor. Between being laid up and being at the chiropractor's office, I barely got anything organized. In one of the pictures you can see my ironing in the background! Ah well. The kids had fun and that's all that matters. Dd's birthday isn't until the 16th, though. We'll have a little dinner with my parents on that day.

It was pretty windy, which interfered with some of my plans, too. Everything I set up got blown down right away. Very frustrating. In the end, I set up everything on the deck.

This is what I get when I ask for a smile...

I loved these little popcorn boxes. They went perfectly with the carnival theme.

Paintball was one of the games we set up for the kids. They all loved it.

You can't see it here, but they were supposed to drop clothespins into a glass bottle.

Using a water gun the object was to spray the ping pong balls off of the golf tees. It wouldn't work unless they were sitting close, though. A result of the wind, I think.

Ice cream cake...yummmm.
Happy Birthday to you...
