Spelling

Tracing words in sand.

Toothpick words.

We finally started using the Spelling Power curriculum that I purchased before Christmas. I think it's a great program that really encourages multi-sensory learning. The kids are enjoying it so far.

Using multisensory tools for spelling is great. That is one of the ways they have worked with Izzak and his disabilities.

Great spelling ideas...Keep us posted on Spelling Power...I'm always interested in finding new things to try with my kids. Right now Tanner is usind a self directed spelling program from Institute for Excellence. He loves it. He listens to a cd with his words and once he masters the spelling list with 100% twice then he moves on to the next lesson. It has been really great for him. With Hunter I have been just going over the core 500 sight words from time to time.

The home school conference is coming up soon. I'll let Dawn have a look at this. Maybe they will have it there.

However, the kids are reading but it might help our youngest some..
