Field Trip with the JFW

We had a wonderfully interesting field trip with the Junior Forest Wardens on Saturday. We went to The Leduc #1 Canadian Petroleum Discovery Centre. It's an amazing centre, and the children seemed to have a great time while learning so much at the same time.
Learning about the parts of an oil rig.
Light it up!
Differently coloured lights reveal the locations of Alberta's natural resources.
Checking out the old fashioned gas pumps.

Looks like fun, love those old gas pumps! Why was everything so much 'cooler' looking way back when??

Never thought of going there. Have to tell Dawn about it. Maybe she can arrange a field trip. Looks like fun. I bet I would enjoy it too.
