Sound City

I went to a work shop last year and learned about making a "Sound City". It's a program to teach phonics. I had visions of whipping through all of the phonetic rules quickly, but realized that the children needed me to go a bit slower. Now, I add sounds as they seem to come up. There is much more to be completed, but this is a good start.

It's hard to see with the reflection, but, so far, we have up 'O' Street, 'I' Street, 'A' Street, and 'E' Street.

This is 'Vowel Volcano' and 'Consonant Creek'.


I was going to make a little farm for the cows and pigs, but I'm not sure now.
