Math Work a Mistake

We ended up doing a little school work, and it was a mistake. My head was foggy so I didn’t have a lot of patience. Even though ds doesn’t seem sick today, he’s probably tired because he was up through the night. I was feeling guilty because we haven’t got much accomplished this week. We took Thanksgiving Monday off, and Wednesday we were at the Space & Science Centre. In the end, I’m going to have to re-teach ds the concept that I was trying to introduce today because it’s clear that none of it got through. And I get myself in a pickle because when it’s obvious the lesson isn’t going well I should stop. But if I give in and let him stop then he’ll think that any times he whines he can quit. I guess that I could have switched gears to a game or some other type of activity. But then I also wasn’t in the head space. Ah well, live and learn.

I rested a bit afterward, chatted on the phone with a friend, and then took a shower hoping that it would make me feel better. It did for awhile. The kids and I did some cleaning up around the house. Dd put toys away, ds vacuumed, and I cleaned up the front entranceway. I also gathered library items together from all over the house. I found an audio CD that’s been missing for awhile. Yahoooo! The library was going to charge me to replace it so, I’m very happy to have it located. It was one in of my music CD cases.

I really want to lie down now, but I’ve got to get the kids’ stuff together for their sleep-over. Adrian isn’t home, yet. I hope he arrives before we have to leave; the children wouldn’t want to miss him.

I am looking forward to Cirque De Soleil tonight even though I’m sick. I should try to rest a little before I go.
