To float or not to float
This morning we started a bit later than I would have liked. I was looking up some things online. This definitely shows me that I have to get more organized. The children were interested in the boats last night and figuring out which ones float. This morning I put out a large bowl of water and had them collect several objects and then predict if they would float or not. They recorded their guesses, and then checked to see if they were correct. They had fun trying different objects for awhile. Afterwards they wrote a quick blurb on what they had learned about the density of objects. That's all we did in the way of structured work. At the moment they are outside playing on the deck. We're about to leave for a friend's house to play.
